ATTO release of ExpressSAS RAID v3.61

We are pleased to announce the release of ExpressSAS RAID v3.61. This is a no-charge upgrade! Exciting new ATTO functionality can be added to the ExpressSAS RAID with a simple firmware and configuration tool update. This release has an exciting new Drive Recovery feature that continues to take ATTO RAID Adapters to new levels and includes the following:
Added Data Recovery for off-line capability to recover from a failed
RAID group. This includes two modes “Basic” and “Extreme” recovery
for RAID cards (using firmware version 2009_12_10 or later.)
Enhanced reporting of inactive group operations.
Driver delay compensation added to allow for smooth booting of
Macintosh NVRAM options.
Provided a solution to work around OS X kernel panic when transfer
sizes are greater than 32MB.
Thank you to the entire project team and everyone else who worked so hard on this project, making these feature additions to the ExpressSAS RAID adapter products. These are important and significant improvements that will help us further solidify our position as the leader for SAS/SATA RAID Adapters.
The release of the ESAS RAID Adapter products is comprised of the
following:
Flashbundle 2010_01_04
BIOS driver version 3.61
Config Tool version 3.28
OS X Driver version 3.62
The Windows and Linux operating system drivers did not change within this release, but most current Windows and Linux customers might want to check to ensure they are using the latest drivers and also upgrade their firmware and configuration tool components to take advantage of the above enhancements.
This release is currently available on our website. Please take the time to work with your customers to alert them to this upgrade so that they may utilize the most up-to-date drivers and firmware available. These Product Release Notes are available to our customers on our website. They are also available in our PRN database.
